Extended

Any chance of having tournaments in the Extended format regularly? I'm not suggesting every week, but it is a good format that we can play once or twice a month to keep things fresh. Any feedback from other MTG players?

I'd love to play New Extended once Scars hits, and I know Tristan has already built his extended deck for when CFG starts it up.

I think New Extended will open it up to a lot of players once Time Spiral rotates out of it, because then its just the standard they've always played since CFG opened + the new block that will be in standard as well, + one older block.

So they essentially only have to learn one block instead of four or more.

While I am obviously elated to have the tournament I am also disappointed its after the ProTour. Half the fun for me was trying to homebrew a deck before decklists were out, but now it's even pointless to brew since the PT will likely skew deck choices. meh.

Come by the store during our Anniversary Party on Thursday or Friday and learn more about Extended. It's a small jump from Standard, especially if you played Standard during Shards of Alara Block. I will also have some budget decklists available.
