TEAM B: after the halacious roller coaster ride through the bowels of infernal hell, rounding the testies on a detour and touring it's un-glorified sphincter came the nice demon fight with the skeleton band, the infernal gate summoning stones and the big boss demon, we exited and returned to the order and reported in....for 3 months of crisis/sanity counseling (would YOU believe the roller coaster ride we had with an infernal great axe guitar that alters reality by jamming tunes out?!? 'ell, the only reason they believed us is that we came back, on a flying mine cart pulled by 9 DUCKS; the lead duck having a bright red bill!). So now our new mission (oh yeah, cover story for the cart is it's a divine favor from Morrow, since we're demon hunters it would not be a warm reception if we showed up utilizing demonicly created mode of transport) is to go to a rural town whose vast majority are of the menite faith (GAHHH!!!!!) and invsestigate rumors of infernalism taking hold of the town via suggestion and mesmerism, all after we head out into the deeper reaches of wilderness to retrieve a special warjack that was recently stolen from a morrowan temple by a raiding party of giant boar-like humanoids.
We first encountered a roving patrol who seemed not too interested in their patrol route as they completely missed the flying cart and noisy jack standing in the brush, so we made our presence known, opened a dialoge.....and ended up using ARKHAM (the infernal reality altering guitar-axe) to lightingbolt cook one of the patrol members, whereupon the patrol began to eat the huge pile of cooked pork while continuing the conversation with us; inadvertantly giving us the location of their camp. So we parted ways, aproached the camp, bluffed them into thinking we were a traveling entertainment troupe, got in the camp, found the jack and continued with the ruse by jammin out some songs with ARKHAM. The play went well as skeletons rose from the ground wielding their own guitars and jammin along (stupid pigmen thought it was magical surround sound and didn't bother turning around to notice them). Jazz switched songs, causing a few skeletons to become bloodthirsty and decapitate the pigmen near them and at the same time, summoned a 9 foot infernal wielding a magic blade who bagan to kill everything.
Bahamut was quick to act and bluffed his brain off saying, "Evil demon spawn seeks to disrupt the show; ATTACK!" And it worked, the pigmen focused their attacks on it while we did the same, and a few pigmen broke off to blast the skeletons (who were now ALL hostile to the pigmen). Long story short, the battle lasted for a bit, any magic that happened against the pigmen was blamed on the demon, all but the pigman chief and 1 or 2 others died, 2 other demons were summoned along with our newly recovered mechanic who was being chased in his nightmares by the demon that was summoned along with him, everyone but Bahamut and his jack exited the camp (hiding the spot where the other jack had been; Jazz went over and activated it then took it outside). As he left, the piggies noticed and he bluffed saying that it was divine give-and-take: divines gave the camp power to overcome the infernal influences and took the jack as payment. It worked, bahamuts jack quickly scooped up the magic weaponry and began a funny (think fear and loathing in las vegas meets ultumate white man can't dance, but worse) sword waving vegas line kick dance out of the camp, which seemed to ammuse the pigmen enough to let us all leave, where we moved onto the town of menites and their infernal problem.
OK, long story short, we found the contractor, tried to ambush her multiple times and plans fell through. Our mechanic royally screwed up the information he gave us for the last ambush site then went off to the church to meet the contractor (demon witch chick who deals in infernal soul-for-power contracts) to make a contract of his own after sending an angry mob to where we were staying. Fortunately, he was able to pull through as the group had already left for the ambush sight and through some skillful wordage, he contracted her to teleport him and her (the mechanic and the contractor) to his group. SHE thought he was a thief and reasonably presumed that he had more thieves thirsty for power........which turned out to be a bad thing as she teleported into the middle of the ORDER OF ILLUMINATION's (demon and undead hunters) hasty ambush that the group had set up for her in the first place.
MJ nearly collapsed the building by hitting the witch so hard she collapsed a wall and died. Witch had 2 boddy gaurds as well, but one fell quickly and the other took out 2 other wall sections (MJ got some new handwrap toys that hurl things they hit sometimes) as MJ punched the thing this way and that like tyson working over a 5 year old. Now the problem is that all the menite priests are infected by thie witches influence (don't go away when she dies....too easy) but we can't KILL them openly because we'd have to kill the whole town which would bely the point of saving them. the priests are never far away from the mobs they whip up, everyone in town is on board with their new "religious philosophy" not realizing it's demonically influenced/guided and as this is a menite town, our morrowan beliefs and especialy our morrowan priest have to stay quiet for now. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!

Oh, the head priest of this menite town has resisted the impulses of the witch but ALL the other priests have succumed, so the town thinks HE'S the heretic now, but he's on our side. What next...................................

TEAM B: After leaving the town to regroup and formulate a plan, it was decided that we needed to re-instae the old high priest while calling out the demonically influenced priests leading the town astray now that their handler was destroyed. So we set up a suprise oratory battle between the evil head priest and the true high priest in front of a massive gathering inside the church with the group hiding in the confessionals and our jacks hiding in the bell towers lower entryway. Things were going swimmingly until Bahamut noticed that somehow the evil priest was being demonically buffed up to give his words more weight, so he stepped out and called him on it, and that's when he noticed the invisibility cloak on an all new demon handler body gaurd. Violence erupted, the church cleared out (after a rather devastating shot to the demon from an anti-demon bolt spell and a well placed shot from his supernatural slaying pistol) when Bahamut revealed the order of illuminations intent to destroy these demons and for all true menites to let the pros do their work.
The battle went well; no losses and only 1 ally got a scratch. 6 enemy "guilty contract signers" tried to save their priest and got nailed, the demon was slaughtered by multiple well placed magic attacks from our necromancer, Jazz used her infernal guitar to warp reality as ussual and made 2 pews come alive as living racks which gobbled up one of the enemy "guilty", and while the high priest (evil) tried to flee, Bahamut Zero (the big jack) caught him and held him tight. Now the evil priest awaits menite purification by pain on the cross after being ex-communicated, for the whole town to see that order is restored and that the priest they thought was a loon was acctualy their savior. Mission accomplished, team B is now headin home for some R&R and reassignment....and reward for a job well done before someone notices that the towns armory is smashed to pieces and there's demon bits everywhere in and around it!

NOTE: the wrack golems weren't friendly or hostile; they just attacked anything that wasn't THEM, so we had to deal with em both, but MJ made short work of them both.

TEAM A: And lo the glorious dead shall rain their might upon their enemies. LAKE PLACID, BOYO, 3 CUT THROATS, 1 NOMAD heavy war jack, 1 ARCANE MECHANIK, 1 SNAPPER croc & 1 tentacled monster that disrupts jacks and pulses out all runic hardware......DEAD! Team A cassualties; the mighty R'Nulf and Hector (or, ELF, as he asked to be called repeatedly). LAKE PLACID chomped on R'Nulf like a chew toy after R'Nulf was able to keep from being thrown out of his defensive position of the elf and after a few well placed hits, was taken into to gullet with NECROM jammed into the roof of it's mouth. Next lake placid, having "neutralized" R'Nulf, got its over sized gullet fixed on Hector and swallowed him up. At this time Roady and Zero were joining the fight, but so was the tentacled disruptor monster, nullifying Biffs guns.....so, in an attempt to kill LAKE PLACID and make it cough up it's gullet, he threw the unstable bomb/alchemy cortex from the berzerker jack we faced some time ago. It did it's job too well, vaporizing the croc and those inside it's gullet. With a mighty roar, the demon hammer NECROM soared towards it final vitim; the treacherous gobber, turning the runt into green mist before soaring up into the sky, returning to who knows where. The tentacle creature went down as Roady smashed into the thing while Zero ran over to stomp the life out of the now alone and already wounded Boyo, who's attempt to flee was met with the mighty chainsaw greatsword of Zero. Sonow Biff and the new Nyss elf of the company, gather the gear of all those fallen, the now deactivated jack "OI" and are returning to 5 fingers to deposit the fallen comrades savings into the company fund and to house their weapons as honorary memento's to the great fallen champions of team A, as they are now partners in the company along with the dwarven mage and skeletor the skeletal lich founder of the company.

TEAM C: Thus far it seems we have 2 trollkin casters (brothers) a human man-o-war front liner and an intelectual rogue type character. Nothing set in stone yet, but the group will have many adventures to come.....as they will begin their life as gladitorial slaves to an evil empire beyond Iron Kingdoms to the East. Tune in next time for the Iron Kingdoms adventure group!

Iron kingdom short expansion/recap/intro

When the alchemical core/bomb went off it not only did enough damage to kill the croc it did enough to kill it a second time! (Alas poor trollkin and elf) Then came the return of the demon king from the cryx island who appeared with necrom and started to swing it THOR style who then threw it. (Through the gobber) As it now flies off into the distance.

Team A's surviving members decided to head back as they try to expand their merc outfit into a greater operation as plans for a fort are being made.

The new team is stuck, captured, and is being sent against war beasts in a gladiator ring to train the Skorn Empire's beasts of war. The beasts are deemed fit/ready if they kill our brave heroes. Trapped in a hostile territory as the need for survival binds them together... Will they be able to escape their prison or shall the Skorn empire have the final laugh?

New team (team D technically, while team B is actually team C replacing team A, while team D is replacing team A....get all that?) A began their adventuring life after a very bad fallout that got them all captured and thrown in the slave pens of a gladitorial arena. Two trollkin brothers (one with an animal fetish that JUST RECENTLY managed NOT to get him bit by some wild THING......someone call GWAR!), a human seafarer and another human in a supersized suit of armor. Armored human wants to life life swingin freely at anything that's a threat so he signed on with a merc company to try his hand in the Skorn empire. Good ol sea farin human tried makin moves on the wrong noble lady in his LAST port before ending up in shackles (not the kind of "ending" he was hoping for), beasty trollkin was in the area following his brother as he'd heard that there were more toothed critters to go play with where they were going while the final trolkin wants to be a well paid and respected merc, signing on with the Cygnarian military in exchange for a salary, commission in the service and a suit of their legendary armor. Yeah, not all went as planned for any of these poor folks.
First fight went very smoothly; they Skorn are probably wondering how they caught us in the first place. Second fight, threw us for a slight loop as we were suprised. Third fight, lil bugger was quick N spry but we managed to smack em down.....GOD SMACK em down! Last fight was us against a huge T-rex titan turtle elephant mutant magic thing with S***tons of armor and HP. Thankfuly, the Human in the armor was able to wrest a large toothed stone hammer from the ground and start swingin as a demon king popped into the arena, infernals began filling the stands and we made our way out.
While fleeing, we accidentaly ventured the wrong way, going further into the Skorn nation and running into a fortified town slave distribution center. Waiting outside of town to ambush an inbound convoy to get our bearings, we liberated 2 slave trailers (8 NPC's total, some seafarers), raided another town for food and suplies and are still trying to find to fargan water (no, not the fargan lake or river fargan......1980's movie, Johnny Dangerously...watch it). Trollkin (non-beasty) is pretty shot up, human seafarer is shot up yet again after our raid went south, armored human can't wear his armor due to lack of water and coal for it's turbines and our 8 NPCs are wearing skorn trooper armor but have no helmets to hide their features. So, we definitely want NO MORE ENCOUNTERS....but we're in Skorn, so, no luck there. Plan is to find a port town, highjack a boat and haul azz outta this place. Where, who cares: ANYWHERE BUT HERE (Cygnar preferably; I'm alive and the government owes dady a new suit :-D ).

Iron Kingdom Recap

The new four man team has arrived. The fight in the arena had made the Man-O-War Sagrent Brass team up with the Trollkin Bardistiva as they managed to kill two lizard creatures and a beast handler. Then came the Arena champ which gave them a beat down until Fate intervened. After saying that the Gods cannot even save them a loud whistling sound came... Remember Necrom flying off into the distance? Well it had landed on the Arena champ leaving him a nice smear on the ground.

After Bardistiva’s brother managed to bond with a wild Skorn Archidon (Think Wyvern) the group planned on taking Necrom because the Skorne could not even move the Hammer. The new fight was against a Skorne Titan (read comment above) as they placed a statue over Necrom. Bardistiva ran to the statue and climbed up to the top as Brass tried to break part of the statue to free Necrom. After the beast handler enraged the Titan and killed shortly afterwards they managed to make the Titan charge into the statue destroying it as Bardistive land on the Titan’s neck and manged to prevent it from bulldozing right over Brass. Brass took it as a sign as he grabbed Necrom and resisted the hammer’s influence to receive a Vendetta/Quest from Necrom’s last wielder. After taking up the oath to kill the necromancer Seares and the tiny terror Mister Gibbles Brass held the hammer high up in the air as he had full control of Necrom’s new strength… as then the demon king from the island landed.

Demons erupted the Titan tried to kill the demon king only to be slaughtered as Bardistiva ditched the monster after finding out it could not be controlled (letting him live). Brass ran up to the demon king and said that the demon could keep all of the souls of Skorne if they let the party go. Amused by this the demon king blasted a hole in the Arena letting them escape as they are joined by their new pirate ally and Bardistiva’s brother. They also find out their new pirate ally bedded one of the skorne important ladies (hence why he was thrown in the arena) and that now only can he speak the local language he could get them back to their homelands if they could get a boat.

They team then learned that the land is Skorne isn’t that great… After accident with the mistaken town and freeing the slaves they began running low on food and water. After finding the direction of a small trade outpost they set out into the night to steal the supplies they need! Which ended with them getting a good amount of supplies (including food and water) tied together and flown out by the Archidon, but also running from having the entire outpost go on high alert. Bardistiva and his new pirate ally managed to forcefully break a hole through the wall allowing them to escape with angry Skorne ready to be in hot pursuit.

Can our brave band of heroes survive this harsh land? Can they manage to find a boat to escape by sea instead of facing the even more dangerous desert to return to their homelands? Will they even find a map to figure out where they even are? Find out next time on Iron Kingdoms!

The new and improved team A resumed it's trek across Skorn country, running from the now angry militray force growing in the town they just stole from. Suprisingly enough, the military garrison did NOT rally in pursuit of the escaped convict party. Bardistiva thought he'd seen a skinny naked figure at one point trying to pursue the group, but couldn't get a good look. A few days passed as we continued our way across Skorn country, hoping for some way to get our bearings and a map for guidance, when we came upon the sceen of a slaughter. A lone human inside a cage surrounded by bloated and skinny bodies; some in different stages of decay. When the human came to, all he did was scream in terror and recount his last moments of memory; getting knocked out in an arena. When the heroes tried to free the poor guy, the dead rose up, bloated guts N all. The fight went quickly as Sgt Brass swung his new hammer wildly, Bardistiva slung spell afer spell ramming the dead into vapor clouds and our pirate watching the ordeal with mild amusement.
The human offered valuable intel as to lur next port of call; the town he'd JUST came from. A major trade center and noble house locale, they were sure to have military, trade and standard maps of the whole country. Se we conducted a mid-night style raid once more, having Bardistivas brother keep eyes open overhead on his flying beast, the new human kept watch on top of the city's outter wall (which was mysteriously abandoned for reasons unknown), Captain Jack snuck around inside town while Bardistiva and Sgt Brass stood by outside the wall waiting for noise. Capt Jack was able to find the map(s) we need, but also discovere that the town, once a major Skorn stronghold, was recently over run by the undead; blighted bloated corpses and some kind of underground army of tunnel wraiths...possibly more. Either way, the group escaped the town, fought through an undead ambush (yeah, the undead seem to "come alive" whenever any of our adventure parties come through.....like a bad scene from a thriller video on crack) and proceeded towards the nearest port town so we can stral a boat and leave the blasted deserts of Skorn behind us forever.
5 days we traveled, realizing that we were being followed! We set up our OWN ambush this time....and a good thing to. A gynormous Titan creature turned undead and 10 or so "horde" undead bloated thingies. Bardistiva did his best trying to keep the gynormous beast at bay with his distancing abilities, but in the end the beast was able to wade into melee with the group as were the rest of the horde. Long story short, we won, 2 players got blighted (not permanently, just a temp thing for THAT fight, courtesy of el titano sicko pricko), no players dropped (captain Jack dropped in the earlier ambush but we were able to save em and now he's got a kewl Cutlass out of the fight) and we're less than 10 miles away from the town which we'll be stealing a ship from and leaving behind this blasted landscape once and for all! WO-HO!!!!

Team B, freeshly recovered from saving the Menite city from it's demonic corrupters, now marches into the Northern nation of frozen warrior humans; Khador (think cold war soviets with big robot warriors instead of tanks N stuff). Our mission is to set up a foothold for the order of illumination within one of the smaller cities while cleansing it of infernal and undead affiliations. Rumors abound that long dead necromantic practices have been revived and are being tested in this small Khadoran town, and we must stop it. Our "welcome to Khador" party was a pack of hungry 400lb two headed white wolves who spat frost cones at the party. One group member dropped but was not dead thanks to Bahamuts fast acting triage and healing skills, but Jazz turned the tide by playing his reality altering guitar..which put EVERYTHING (wolves AND us...poor roll) to sleep. When we awoke, the wolves were gone, a limb from an IRON MAIDEN (a necromantic warjack made during the clockwork renessance; I know I spelled it wrong, get over it......and hasn't been made since due to the grisly necromantic practices involved) was on the ground near us and some kind of name discovery circle was inscribed on the ground underneath the party (Iron Maidens are powered by a trapped living soul which is controled by the jacks master only by invoking the souls true full name in life...so, someone has plans to make us all robot women warrior slaves).
We continued onto the town, invoking the full authority of the order to bypass the ruffian gangs and rabble of mercinaries, made contact with the mayor and after some debate amongst the group, decided to check out a recent disturbance at the local mine. The victim of the latest attack from an unknown enemy looked like Wolverine played touchy slashy a little to seriously but Bahamuts healing skills once again proved useful as the group interogated the victim and discovered that the maidens were coming from within the mine through a new wall they'd recently torn through. Getting a map of the mine layouts, MJ was able to discern from the foreman that some "side work" was going on and got information that a non-gang faction requested an "extension" of their basement which just so happened to be in an intersecting line from the house to the newly made hole in the wall. So thw group went to the house, on the VERY outskirts of town and one of the largest buildings of the town to boot.
Knocking on the door, we were greeted by a familiar face; one of the pigmen that Jazz and Bahamut played tunes & had Bahamuts Jack dance while demons destroyed their wilderness fort and stole their "shiny" (Jazzs' GALLANT class heavy warjack with which he's now bonded and accompanied by). He seemed happy as he pointed and gleefuly (for a pig guy) shouted "BARDS!!!" before the door being slammed, a slight commotion and a human much better dressed opened up the door. MJ and our Gunmage sniper used cassual diplomacy to gain entry to the home where we proceeded to the basement only to find 6 cultists in a circle around a sacrificed victim, chanting a super demon summoning mantra. The group put a quick end to that mess but unfortunately a VERY poorly played tune from UMBRA (the reality bending demonic guitar) caused an even WORSE summons to complete. Thankfully, the summoned hound appeared facing away from us into a cave opening....with 5 iron maidens surging from it.
We let them fight for a while, 2 maidens died, then we got bored and began our attacks. Now, the maidens are all dead, TWO demon dogs are attacking the group (another poorly played tune...summoned it's mate) and we're trying to hold strong as these multi attacking render demon mutts are ripping into the group. We we next continue, it's initiative rolls and right back into the thick of combat for a wild fight and hopefuly a speedy recovery as these beasties are no push overs and neither are the apparently endless swarms of Iron maidens coming from deeper into the darkness of the tunnels. Tune in next week!

Re: Monday MIXERS

Postby glocness » 11 Dec 2013, 10:26

TEAM B continued it's battle with the demon hounds and dispatched them rather quickly. The pig men who were working for the "masters" (the idiots who summoned the first demon dog, that we killed) asked if they could have all the mansions "shinies". Bahamut struck a deal with the non-too-bright horkers; they go in a group into the mine/cave system, find the iron people, bring them to us, they keep ALL the mansions shinies. they agreed, but apparently we (or rather, the demon mutts) had already killed all the iron maidens in the cave, so they looted and we went into the caves to find the production center. Finding it was easy enough with all the parts and limbs strewn about, but the real find (as no clues as to the location of their creator) was when our sniper "A" discovered a secret hatch, from which dropped multiple dead bodies. Most of them were transients and "working girls" but the one notable corpse was that of an arena warrior who'd dissapeared only a few days ago. Further investigation led us to believe he was fixated on a lady in a mask who had a little gobber sidekick named Mr. Gibbles. From what we gathered, he never met her, but information on the subject became scetchy and beyond third hand.
As another great tid-bit of information fell into our laps; the 2nd most powerful gang/syndicate in town had previously put a lot of resources and manpower into an old bell tower but were now begining to withdraw from it so naturally that's where the team went next. Our eagle eyed sniper "A" was able to see the sniper in the bell tower training his sights on us before any shots were fired, but we played the order card and demanded access to the tower to sweep for infernal infesstation. We were denied of course as "A" detected strong magic suddenly being worked in front AND behind us. Two mages were throwing up wind & fire waall combos, blocking our escape to the rear as Bahamut noticed one of the gang members had a possessed necrotic super pistol and ordered the group to attack.
"A" went for cover in an alley, Bahamut and Bahamut Zero charged closer and closer to the tower, gunning and blasting as they went while MJ, who'd been trailing behind us as a security measure, took out the mages so he could join us on the front line. Against us we have 2 cutthorats, 3 mages, 1 super sniper with an evil riffle, an iron maiden cloaked and disguised as a normal person (they're human sized necro-jacks so fully & loosly clothed, they pass as silent bodyguards until they show themselves) and the leader of the gang dual wielding runic shotguns. We took down most of the minions, the leader retreated into the tower, "A" wanted control of the iron maiden so he yelled at Bahamut to have Bahamut Zero launch the iron maiden into the alley with him ("A"). "A" had some trouble trying to gain control of the maiden and paid a heavy price for it and was NEARLY killed, but ended up gaining control of it and sent it off to capture the gang leader. So now all that's left is the tower sniper, tower mage and the leader is wrapped up by an all metal lady deathstrike.
Bahamut Zero was taken out as the sniper blasted some impressive volleys in his direction. "A" tried getting a sniper shot of his own in but missed and the sniper returned fire, dropping "A" to the ground in a heap with blood spurting from his neck. MJ was destroying the buildings foundations with his bare hands trying to collapse it while Bahamut went over to save "A"; which turned out to be rather hard as the riffle he was blasted with negates all healing magic and abilities so Bahamut had to resort to good ol fashioned field medecine, barely saving "A" before he sucumbed to bloodloss. The tower sniper and mage tried to run, but MJ was there when they rapelled off the tower and took out the sniper. As the mage ran, Bahamut tried to kill him, but only winged him. "A" was the battle finisher as a well aimed shot rocked a hole in the mages chest.
So, after a QUICK patch job on Bahamut Zero to get the legs working, we bulldozed our way to the center of the city to the arena; where the arena master and her arena warriors would keep the flood of gang members out while we interogated the gang leader (lesser gangs and the number 1 syndicate all want this guy....so pretty much over 75% of the town is camped outside the arena waiting on us to leave). Interogation of the leader revealed he knew little; HE thought that the only Iron Maiden in town was the one that we now control. He knows OF the woman in the mask and her little green friend, but has not met them. The man who's responsable for the creation of the Iron maiden(s) is still in town however and is a high value comodity to all the local riff-raff looking to maintin their hold on the town by harnessing superior tech/weaponry/means, so more than likely the other more powerful gang already has him in their employ and protection. While MJ was handling introgation (Bahamut is.....less perceptive and extreemly blunt in his interogation tactics; an addmitted flaw), "A" worked on fixing the throwning damage to his new toy (caused by Bahamut Zero.....he threw this thing like a rag-doll-shotput! How it didn't imbed into the building like a cartoon skit is beyond me) and trying to repair more damage on Bahamut Zero. Bahamut sent an encrypted cipher to the order headquarters via courier appraising them of the situation in town and ordered the arena master to set up a fight; MJ vs the gang leader.
The battle came to as the gang leader had no choice. Bets were placed, but the bets weren't on who the victor was going to be; bets were placed on how long the gang leader would last against the dancing bulldozer as MJ had become known throughout the town (he punched down a solid stone bell tower in less than a minute......what would YOU call em?!?). Everyone (including the rest of the group) made money off this fight as MJ not only let the man have first strike, but him have a POWER HIT (double clench fisted power punch to the face) that only split MJ's lip before he laughed, did a boxers super uppercut which not only snapped the guys neck but sent em flying, and before the corpse hit the ground, MJ did a dancing back spin kick and sent the corpse flying into the nearby wall like a sack of jelly (after the punch, the kick and the impact, the guy pretty much WAS a sack of jelly being held together by his own skin). But, things aint over....
MJ, frenzied from battle and winnings from bets, pointed out the arena heavyweight champion and challenged him to a match...right there and then. Now, THIS fight nearly went badly for poor MJ. Yeah, MJ had the moves, but the champ had the experience, a lot more power and frieghtening staying power. Only a lucky move and a good last final strike brought down the champ, leaving MJ standing (well, swaggering and swaying......1 HP left) victorious over the biggest bruiser in the town. Unfortunately, not chamionship belt was handed over as A- unsanctioned match and B- MJ is not in the right weight class. So, the 2nd most powerful gang is scattered with their leader dead and being overwhelmed by the main gang, the Iron Maiden creator is out there somewhere being protected/sheltered by the remaining gang, team B is hurt and needs to lick their wounds quickly before the gang fortifies it's hold even firther over the town, the order of illunination has arrived with a security detail to protect the mansion team B claimed (from the pig men and it's previous owners who summoned the demon dogs) while order scholars and crafts folk reapair, renovate and fortify the new chapter house. Next we must decide on a plan of action on how to find this iron maiden creator, kill him, put down the gangs in the town and restore order to it's populace. Tune in next time!

Iron Kingdom Recap

Team A again as they began their plan to escape the dreaded and painfully annoying skorne empire. The team managed to find the town with a river. They knew that the skorne made the river connect with the ocean as the town was used to transfer freshly captured ships and their crew. With a cunning plan to steal one of the skorne captured ships they began their plan.

The troll Bardistiva and captain Rogers discarded their armor to swim to the boat as Bardistiva’s brother carried their support package of a fully armored Sargent Brass with Necrom in hand. They plan went well as they swam underneath the boats to avoid detection as they headed towards the largest ship the skorne empire had. Sadly during the swim Bardistiva opened his mouth as he saw that the river was also a sewage system as fresh waste was tossed overboard. With his lungs burning he quickly started to swim to the surface as water filled his lungs. With a deep gasp he managed to recover and had to pass a detect roll against an enemy croc man (Sneak total 3 vs detect total 3… enemy rolled higher) as the croc alerted the skorn soldiers on the dock.

The battle started as Sargent Brass landed on the largest ship and prepared for battle. As Bardistiva surfaced his eyes widened as he saw a better catch in front of him. A stolen Sea Forge dwarven vessel completely made out of steel. With a quick change of plans Bardistiva shouted the change of plans as they prepared to steal the other boat. Bardistiva fired off his magic and fell calls at the largest ship trying to make a hole in it which also alerted the skorn guards/looters of the sea forge vessel. This two skorne were part of the skilled armor warrior section of skorn and were military trained. They threw what looked like spears combined with harpoons as our troll and yanked him out of the water and onto the ship.

Battle began as the skorne warriors beat Bardistiva only to be knocked overboard by Bardistiva’s brother and his wyvern. After boarding the ship only to have a change in plans Roger alerted the rest of the group that there where riffle men in the original ship. After Roger jumped out of the ship Sargent Brass cleaved through the riffle men. The last skorn enemy came from the dwarven ship with a crystal eye and a large sickly tortured frog like creature which started to affect the Wyvern with its presence.

The battle continued as the mystic eye damaged people with their own strength. The battle continued as the frog was slain and the mast destroyed on the largest ship with Brass being the only person not on the dwarven ship. With a toss from the wyvern the Mystic eye skorn was tossed off the ship only for more of the skorne military to arrive.
Swords men boarded the dwarven ship as the enemy forces forced the group to leave sergeant brass behind. Brass challenged their strongest warrior to a one on one fight as he prepared to go down swing but Necrom had other ideas. After beating their warrior and slaying the other soldiers nearby he managed to kill a titan wielding a cannon saving the dwarven ship and his allies as the rest of the skorn forces converged on him. They tried to capture him only to fail as Sargent Brass fully took the Kadhor philosophy (It is not “Cursed”. It is just under-utilized.) and used Necrom to its fullest. He slaughtered the infantry and became so fearsome that they could only send war beast near him… only for the Cyclops to fail. So then they sent Titans only to slay them in one on one combat as his own strength and Necrom’s healing power kept him as he killed enough to challenge the army’s general in one on one combat. They both fought as Brass took a beating as even with Necrom’s strength the enemy general was strong enough to take several beatings which even felled Titans. Yet Brass managed to strike the final blow slaying the general and simply walked out of the town as the skorne stood in awe and fear of him. So now they managed to get a new ship (Without weapons) and with Brass’s Cortex now a single operating Dwarven ramming jack. They also have gained a reputation with the skorne as now they will now be after them even if they leave the skorne lands as they wish to either skill or capture sergent brass.

How will this fair for our brave group of escapes? Will they finally escape the skorn empire? Will their new found reputation find them greater luck or greater misfortune? Find out next time on Iron Kingdom?
