This will be the news thread for Pickle's Peppers D&D group. You know who you are.

The story thus far. After our hero's left Sybar aboard Lord Varies's yatch they landed down river. After landing, the pickle cask holding Lizbray's remains glowed with divine magical light and burst open revealing Lizbray lives! Turns out with Gorph and Vacus praying all night long, they appealed to Paleor's wisdom and he granted her life. And a pleasant dill aroma.

After being glad she was alive, Hammish, Groph, Vacus and Lizbray discussed which way to go. Gorph's clan had a claim to an over run goldmine, Hammish knew of a town to the north, and there was discussion of the Empire and Orcs. While they were making their plans, and young noble hostage named Keiph approached them. He pleaded his case of wanting to go home to Zephouris, his mountain homeland. The group weighed their options and decided to help the young lad back home.

After wandering the wilderness for 3 hours, they came upon a crossroad where they were attacked by goblin wolf riders. Following a fast paced battle with the goblins, whom the killed and routed, they found the town of Albridge. The adventures finally got to restock and resupply after what felt like a lifetime of battle. They learned the safest road leads to Marl, which is due south east of Albridge about 45 miles awaly. Zephouris is roughly 200 miles from Albridge, as the crow flies. But rumor has it that there are no straight roads to Zephouris.

Also, it is suspected Edwine overslept on the yatch nursing a hangover and should be able to find Albridge before the party departs.

great Gulgrethor's ghost! Lizbree lives! Pelor sure is a swell fellow. Wonder if Gruumsh has plans for Gulgrethor... or if the Raven Queen has plans for his soul...

edit: oh, I am posting from the Phoenix airport. Strangely enough, no Phoenices flying around. Six more weeks of winter?

Verily...I meant for there to be more in the recaps, so there will be.

So Edwin did find the party in Albridge where they also met Garion, who is some sort of drunk priest that is drunk all the time. He joined the party as Gorph left to claim his clan gold mine. The party then head south to Marl. On the way the fought blue dragon that burped lightning at them. After defeating the dragon the group made it to Marl.

When they got to Marl they meet chief priest Oodius who was a complete jerk. He even escorted them out of town with a bunch of armed guards. So they decided to make their way through Pilgrim swamp. They stumbled through some of the swamp and meet some bog hags that tore Vakas a new pickle hole before they killed them too. Now they are just hanging out there.

A drunk priest that's drunk all the time? Ludicrous.

Anyways, check this out for the comic where I got the picklin' idea. It gets really good towards the end.

So Pickle's Peppers have been lost in a swamp. In the swamp they have faced bog hags and skeletons and have found a fort strong hold of a necromancer of unknown power. While scouting the fort, Edwin tripped a magic ward and caught the attention of the guards standing out front. An epic battle later that bloodied all, and dropped Garion for a minute, they came out alive. Fearing what was inside the fort the Peppers decide it would be wise to make a tactical retreat. But not before Edwin made up for his earlier blunders by destroying the draw bridge with a well placed fireball.

The Peppers managed to run out into the swamp with enough of a head start to keep the necromancer's army off their trail. They decided to rest and regain their strength before making their next move.

So I think this is a 3 week recap. Pickle's Peppers left pilgrims swamp and found road pretty quick which lead them to Guson City where they told King Rhasgar, a dragonborn, of the necromancers. They were promised dragonborn guards to help take down the necromancer. And they met a changeling named Sim who joined the group. They then left Guson on a two day trip to Zephorious(I will check spelling tomorrow). On the way in the foot hills they are attacked by the surviving goblin wolf rider.

After a nights rest they manage to take Keiph home where they meet his father Lord Donnell. He knights the group and offers them a hefty reward. They then learn of Groph's gold mine project. Groph's has cleared the mine of bandits but. Now there are giant spiders that need to be dealt with.

So the group heads off to help Groph. But once to Guson city, they are reminded of the necromancer in the swamp sothey get some dragonborn guards and head in. The swamp is crawling with ghoul minions and a minor necromancer who they destroy. Sim changes into the necromancer to scout the layout of the fort.
